Do you follow the One Room Challenge. Well, if you are like me and love anything house related then you need to check it out especially as the latest season just finished. One of the rooms that I just had to share was Sugar & Cloth’s Dining Room and five things I love about this space.

Number 1 must be the use of a very limited colour palette. I am beginning to think this is on the up and up trend wise and it for non serial decorators this is the best way to start. No. 2 – It looks like light woods are making a comeback – and I like it! 3 – I love this take Palm Springs look where you have all the elements of art deco lamps and glossy surfaces but because of the palette it is calmer and not so style specific. 4 – If you not sure what art to put on the wall, a fine line sketch drawing seems to work every time! and 5. I was surprised by no rug on the floor as lately it seems every room even dining rooms and kitchens are getting one. But Ashley got it right in this space – if you are doing shiny surfaces, a clean rug free floor is the way to go.

Now I am off to go and see all the other ORC rooms…
